Cell phone signal booster

Internal antenna for cell phone signal booster

When we travel, we’re often in marginal cell reception areas. We’re not looking for 100% coverage every time we park up, but especially when we’re driving it’s nice to know we have a way to communicate in an emergency. That’s why we bought a cell phone booster kit.

Switch and outlet plates – it’s the little things…

Flush mounted light switches and heater controller

We wanted to recess the outlets in the van so we didn’t catch things on them, and also because it creates an interesting look. A side benefit that we found out later is that the plates we used make it much easier to access the wiring without removing wall panels.  Continue reading “Switch and outlet plates – it’s the little things…”

Finding space for a bed in a bike hauling van

Platform bed installed

With four bikes in the back of the van, and living space up front, there’s not much room for a bed. The only option is to mount it above the bikes using removable panels. Continue reading “Finding space for a bed in a bike hauling van”

Seat swivels to make the cab space useful when camping

CTA seat swivel

We bought swivel plates so we can turn the driver and passenger seat around to face backwards. That way, when we’re camped out, the whole cab area becomes part of the living space.  Continue reading “Seat swivels to make the cab space useful when camping”
